According to Freud, any entity projects its identity onto its entire world, which is why, at surface level, each emitted message is a set of concrete attributes of self representation. This communication of identity covers the message with a first layer of sense, and predisposes the receivers to a series of attitudes and anticipating conduct.
The receivers, furthermore, will filter the messages received by means of a selective perception that their individual and cultural identity carries out, and will reject or allow the modification of points of view according to their prejudices regarding the person who emitted the message, and on the content of the message itself.
In another case, as in every social interaction, institutions, by means of their representatives, struggle for the search of predominant ideas, values and beliefs, as much as for the need to denaturalize the associations considered negative and the hope of articulating a collective representation in an imaginary discourse of what is interpreted as the common good.
The expression of this criterion is always carried by a specific text of identity that is transmitted through a system of signs and symbols which operates through discourses. It is through this that the citizen and the institution are mutually structured by means of a material and symbolic link.
