I like to explore materials that are external to the art world. Things that beyond its use value, they pass away unnoticed for our lives.
Not so often a client gives me an excuse to play with these materials, trying to find some useful expression for a particular job.
It’s those moments when silence comes over and you dip within what you are creating. Materials come to life and are part of your body. Sometimes, as in this case that I am showing, from where I do not get anything useful. Other times they help me to get something.
Here I sought a texture for a design. I played on a table with sewing thread and rubber bands.
